Yantra Yoga First Level Teacher Training

This 10 days course will be the first part of the full training to be authorised to teach the first level of Yantra Yoga. On the first day, the session will be in the afternoon, and on the last day there will be only a morning session. On the other days there will be 2 sessions 9am-12pm and 3pm-6pm.

This first part of the Teacher Training will cover:

  • Introduction to the general principles and benefits of Yantra Yoga practice.
  • Introduction to the dynamic of breathing and warmups for the correct breathing and to prepare for Yantra Yoga exercises.
    • The Nine Purification Breathings
    • The 5 Tsigjong
    • The 8 Lungsang
    • Tsadul: The Pranayama and 5 Exercises
    • The 5 Basic Yantras of the 1st and 2nd Series (and time permitting, also Yantras of the 3rd Series)
    • The Pranayama of the First Series
    • The Pranayama of the Second Series
    • The Vajra Wave

We will deepen the practice, correct mistakes and go through the way to teach the exercises and adapt them when necessary.

  • Introduction to the benefits of Yantra Yoga according to Tibetan Medicine.
  • Introduction on how to communicate when teaching.
  • Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology of breathing related to Yantra Yoga.

The second part of the Training will take place at a future date (not yet defined) and will be a supervision course for those who took part in this first part of the Teachers Training and have been selected to be supervised.

The course will be in English and will be lead by Maxim Leschenko and Jan Dolensky

COSTS
The course must be attended in full, the donation for the course is 400 €, no discounts for candidates.
First-level teachers receive a 50% discount.
Second-level teachers can make a free offering.

REQUIREMENTS & CONDITIONS

Teachers Training is EXCLUSIVELY RESERVED TO:

  • Those who have received the transmission from Chögyal Namkhai Norbu or Namkhai Yeshi.
  • Existing, up-to-date full members of the International Dzogchen Community for at least 1 year.
  • Those who have attended Yantra Yoga courses with a qualified Yantra Yoga Instructor and already have a pre-existing practice of Yantra Yoga.

Keep in mind that:

  • There are 30 places available for those who want to apply to the Teacher Training (priority will be given to those who want to become instructors).
  • Participation in the Teacher Training does not mean that a diploma will be provided, only those who successfully complete the 1st level supervision will receive a 1st level Yantra Yoga teachers diploma. Participating in the Training does not mean that one is allowed to teach Yantra Yoga.

Dzamling Gar will provide discounts for the participants who need accommodation. other details about on-site logistics will be communicated at a future date to the people who will attend the Teachers’ Training.

Jan (Honza) Dolensky was born in 1977 in the former Czechoslovakia. In 2000, he met Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and shortly thereafter began practicing Yantra Yoga, followed by many years of training with Fabio Andrico and Laura Evangelisti. 
In 2010, he was authorised by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu as a first-level Yantra Yoga teacher, followed by the second level in 2012 and the third level in 2016. 
He is also a teacher of the Respira method and a Karuna trainer for compassion, mindfulness, and mindfulness-based communication methods. 
As a Tibetologist, he works at the Institute for South Asian, Tibetan, and Buddhist Studies at the University of Vienna. 
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Tibetology and Buddhist Studies and is training to become a psychotherapist. He lives in Vienna with his wife Elisha.

Maxim was born in Ukraine and now lives in Tenerife. With over 20 years of yoga practice, he began his journey with Hatha Yoga before discovering Yantra Yoga, to which he dedicated himself deeply.
Maxim was authorised as a Yantra Yoga teacher by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu in 2010 for the firest level, in 2014, he received the second-level teacher authorization, and third level authorisation in 2016.
Beyond Yantra Yoga, Maxim is also a certified Respira teacher, authorised by Fabio Andrico. 
He originally studied architecture and worked as a restaurateur architect in Kyiv. Today, in addition to teaching yoga and breathing, he continues to apply his creative skills to design projects.
Maxim teaches in English and Russian.
