The Art of Relaxation and Awareness
This course is organized by our partner, Dynamic Space of the Elements,
“Zen” means seeing reality as it is;“Meditation” means attaining. Zen meditation is the way of attaining the truth.
Zen is not separate from everyday life. Every thought, feeling, and emotion can become part of our practice. Nothing lies outside of Rigpa, the primordial awareness at the heart of all experience.
In This Two-day Retreat Maha Ruba will use simple, humorous language and lighthearted artistic practices to guide us into the world of Zen. We will begin with complete acceptance, entering a delightful journey of discovering inner freedom through relaxation. With playful, game-like exercises, we will awaken awareness, explore the mysteries of emptiness, and ultimately recognize and become familiar with Rigpa—learning to dance with it and to embrace your true, beautiful self once again.
In. Maha Ruba’s classes, you are completely free. Every emotion and every experience is allowed, just as life naturally is. This two-day journey is perfect for anyone interested in Zen meditation and in life itself—whether you are a seasoned practitioner seeking to break through a personal bottleneck, someone struggling with emotions and challenges in daily life, or a beginner curious about Zen yet unsure how to begin in a practical way. This precious course will bring you unique insights and experiences.

Maha Ruba
Born in China, Maha Ruba began studying art at the age of six and has spent decades using creativity to explore the deeper truth of life. He has spent two decades immersed in Zen meditation, including deep practice in the Tibetan highlands under the guidance of many spiritual teachers, particularly studying the
wisdom essence of Dzogchen, and has been formally certified to teach.
Drawing from the vast ocean of traditional teachings, he has distilled a complete system of
practice adapted to modern times. With structured, efficient, and life-integrated artistic exercises, he directly and effectively helps busy modern individuals enhance their focus and awareness, transcend dualistic patterns of distress, and return to life’s innate wholeness and awakening.
