If you have any problems, you should pray to Tara and you can obtain anything.

Adzom Drukpa Rinpoche

During this weekend we will explore the multi-dimensional aspects of Green Tara practice. As a timeless embodiment of the Great Mother, on an outer level she governs the whole of the natural world; on an inner level, she personifies authentic compassion; on a secret level, she is indivisible from our pristine nature of mind or rigpa. We will also focus on the practice of her Khandro Khadiravani forest form, who protects from all fears, as she appeared to the Mahasiddha Nagarjuna.

Requirements:  Having attended teachings with Chögyal Namkhai Norbu or Namkhai Yeshi is required.

Course participants can book accommodation with us at a discounted price as part of a package. Contact us for more information.

Biography
Julia Lawless is a professional writer, editor, and accredited meditation instructor who has dedicated over four decades to the study and preservation of the Dzogchen tradition. She became a student of the renowned master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu in 1980, beginning a lifelong commitment to his teachings and community.

At her teacher’s request, Julia was instrumental in founding the Shang Shung Institute UK (SSIUK) in 2010, where she served as Principal Director for a decade. Her foundational work extends deeply into the UK Dzogchen community, having been actively engaged in establishing both Kunselling, a dedicated retreat centre in Wales, and Lekdanling, the Tibetan Cultural Centre in London.

Authorized as a meditation teacher by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, Julia has guided practitioners across numerous retreats over the years. Since 2016, she has focused her teaching efforts primarily in London, where she regularly runs study groups and leads meditation classes.

As a writer and editor, she brings Buddhist philosophy to the page. She is the co-author of Beyond Words: An Introduction to Dzogchen and has edited several titles for Shang Shung Editions, including Guru Arya Tara and Her Twenty-one Praises.
