Welcome to the Dzogchen Teachings with Namkhai Yeshi
Please refer to the Dzamling Gar map below for guidance. We kindly ask you to review the following information carefully.
RETREAT REGISTRATION
Upon arrival at Dzamling Gar, please confirm your registration at the tents located near the stairs of the Gönpa Hall area (see map).
After confirming your registration, you will receive informational materials and a bracelet pass, which you must wear and show to staff each time you access the Teachings.
If you haven’t registered yet, you can do so in advance at the Registration tables (see map).
The registration opening hours will be announced shortly.
Please arrive with enough time to complete the registration process and take your seats at least 30 minutes before the Teaching begins.
DONATION
The event is funded by donations, and your support is appreciated. You can offer your contribution onsite at the Registration Tables (see map) or visit our donation page to donate online
INFO POINT AREA
The Info Point Area will be located to the right of the main entrance to the Gar (see map). Here, you can get detailed information about the retreat program and learn about our activities.
The Info Point Tables’ opening hours will be announced soon.
SHOES
Shoes are not allowed inside the Gönpa. Please leave your shoes on the designated racks or place them in your bag.
USE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES IN GONPA DURING TEACHINGS
Mobile phones, tablets, and computers must be switched off in Gonpa during the Teachings.
RECORDINGS
Making video recordings in the Gonpa during Teachings is not permitted. Any recordings are for personal use only, sharing is not permitted.
ACCOMMODATION
Dzamling Gar can offer simple accommodation based on voluntary donation to those who are members of the International Dzogchen Community with an updated paid membership for 2024. The accommodation consists of a space for a sleeping bag in our Inner Gonpa Hall. The facility includes toilets and showers. We have only 50 spots available for a maximum of 5 nights (6 days), from 11th February to 16th February. Places will be assigned in order of application. PARKING
As Playa Paraiso is a popular tourist area, parking is limited. Our Parking Team will assist you in finding a spot.
TOILETS
We have toilets, including accessible ones near the Cafeteria and inside and outside Gonpa Hall (see map).
MEALS
In the morning, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, tea, coffee, and light snacks will be available at the cafeteria (see map).
Dzamling Gar will provide a limited number of simple meals (like soup). A food truck will also be stationed at the right side of the main entrance (see map).
Since we are in a tourist area, please consider making restaurant reservations in advance.
SMOKING
The use of cigarettes or electronic cigarettes is prohibited inside the Gar. We kindly ask you to avoid smoking outside the Gar near the entrances.
PETS
Dzamling Gar is pet friendly, but due to the high number of people, we kindly ask you to keep your pets at home along the two days of Teachings.
WATER
Water dispensers are available at various locations throughout Dzamling Gar where you can refill your water bottles (see map).
We encourage you to recycle your waste by using the dedicated recycling bins (see map).
BEACH AND OCEAN
When visiting the calas (coves) and rocky areas of Tenerife along the sea, always exercise caution. Wear proper footwear with good grip, as rocks can be slippery. Be mindful of strong currents, and avoid swimming in areas with no lifeguard supervision. Check the weather and tide conditions before heading out, and never turn your back on the ocean, as waves can be unpredictable. Stay on marked paths and avoid climbing unstable rocks. Safety first for a safe and enjoyable experience!
CHILDCARE
Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
A childcare service for children aged 4 to 12 will be available during Teaching hours. To register for childcare, please indicate your interest on the registration form, and you will be added to a WhatsApp group for further details.

Namkhai Yeshi will offer Teachings on the morning of February 13th and 14th from 10am (GMT +00:00 Tenerife Time). Other programs will be announced shortly.
GETTING TO DZAMLING GAR
Dzamling Gar is located in Playa Paraiso, Adeje, on the island of Tenerife, Spain. It is about a 30-minute drive from the southern airport (TFS) and 1 hour from the northern airport (TFN). To get there by car, or bus, search for “Dzamling Gar, 38678, Adeje” or use this link: Google Maps.
