Vajra Dance First Level Teacher Training

Attending Teacher Training is primarily a way to deepen our practice of Vajra Dance. It is also the first step that may allow us to eventually become teachers.

1st Level Vajra Dance includes:

• Dance of the Vajra that Benefits Beings (6 Spaces),
• Dance of the Three Vajras,
• Vajra Dance of the Dimension of Space (12 A).

Teacher Training contents:

• Introduction to the Vajra Dance, principles, benefits on different levels.
• Deepening knowledge of the steps and movements of the Dance of the Vajra that Benefits Beings and the Dance of the Three Vajras.
• Training to properly sing the melodies of the mantras while dancing.
• Didactic aspects and elements of communication while teaching.
• How to present the Vajra Dance in different contexts: language and contents.
• The Vajra Dance of the Dimension of Space (12A).
• Study and reflection on the meaning of the three characteristics and integration.

Teachers Training is exclusively reserved to:

• Those who have received the transmission from Chögyal Namkhai Norbu or Yeshi Namkhai.
• Existing, up-to-date members of the International Dzogchen Community, that is, those who have been members from 2022 or prior until 2024 and whose membership is up to date. Applications from aspirants whose membership is after 2022 will be reviewed by the Teacher leading the Teacher Training.
• Those who have attended 1st level Vajra Dance beginners/advanced courses with qualified Instructors and have a good knowledge of both female and male parts of the Dances.

Accomodation:

Dzamling Gar has a limited number of places to offer for an accessible price to candidates to the TT, and instructors. Priority will be given to those who are applying to become VD instructors.  
The deadline to apply for such accessible accommodation is 15/01/2025.
A waiting list has been created by our Accommodation Manager for this purpose. Applications will be analyzed and vacancies given according to the priority

Suggested Donation: 

Per day: 40€ (only for instructors, not for candidates)

Full Teacher Training: 400€

Authorized VD teachers are offered a 50% discount.

Second level VD instructors: Free donation.

Instructors:

Adriana Dal Borgo

Born in Venice, Italy, graduated in psychology with specialization in psychotherapy, in 1986 Adriana met Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, from whom she learned the Vajra Dance and later on the Khaita Joyful Dances. In 1992 she was appointed by the Master to teach Vajra Dance and later to coordinate the related activities as training new instructors, thus becoming one of the two main Vajra Dance teachers. From that time, she has held many courses and trained new teachers around the world, helping students to discover the joy and profoundness of the Dance. Dancer and choreographer, from 2011 Adriana has been also appointed to coordinate the Khaita Joyful Dances and training new teachers in this field of study.

Prima Mai

Born in Germany and settled in Italy, Prima Mai met Rinpoche in 1988 and since 1990 she learned directly from Him with being invited to accompany on His travels to assist and develop the Vajra Dances in the various places of the Dzogchen Community worldwide.
In 1993 she was officially authorized as one of the two international Vajra Dance teachers to train and create more Vajra Dance Instructors.
She has dedicated her life to Rinpoche’s vision, developing the Vajra Dances in its various aspects.
