Intimate Embrace and the Kiss of the Sky

With Steven Landsberg

Discover the essence of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu’s Longsal cycle.

This teaching is the essence of the Longsal teaching. It is the transformation practice of Jñanadakini, which we bring into the state of contemplation. It is a very useful practice that you can do when you have time, particularly when you would like to do a personal practice. It is good for developing your capacity for practice. It is very effective.

In the Longsal cycle, there are different Dakinis practices, like Mandarava and Gomadevi, but from the most essential point of view, Jñanadakini represents instant presence.

Before learning about the practice of Jñanadakini, it is important to understand what is meant by Jñanadakini. We should not think that she is a kind of lady or a sort of statue. Jñanadakini is related with our knowledge, our understanding. The “instant presence” we talk about is Jñanadakini. If we are not in that state, Jñanadakini does not exist. That is why it is better to really know the essence of the teaching; then all the methods we learn will become really useful.

This course will focus on the practise of the Jnana Dakini and in that context how we may be able to understand the basic simplicity or non duality of space and wisdom- an anuyoga approach- and ultimately the state of the immediate or instant singularity.
