Yantra Yoga Teacher Training Level 2, April 14–23, 2025 at Dzamling Gar
The first second-level Yantra Yoga Teacher Training in years has just concluded at Dzamling Gar, marking a vibrant renewal of practice and connection.
As I write on my way home to Naples—the city where Yantra Yoga first flourished in the West through the tireless guidance of our Master, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu—I feel deeply moved. Since those early days in the 1970s, Yantra Yoga has remained a vital gateway to the Teachings, offering balance and clarity in an age of stress and distraction.
Ten intense days of practice with senior teachers Laura Evangelisti and Fabio Andrico, along with thirty-seven teachers of all levels, reignited that living energy. Returning to Dzamling Gar after many years, I was touched by its beauty, the songs of birds, and the presence of Rinpoche that still seems to infuse the place. Practicing in the completed Gönpa felt like an empowerment in itself.
The training allowed us to refine details of the practice through open dialogue and shared experience. Third-level teachers Oni MacKinstry, Jan Dolensky, and Maxim Leshchenko contributed immensely, while second-level teachers Nataly Nitsche and Carolina Mingolla offered guidance and support. Congratulations to Fulvio Grosso and Leticia Recepter on receiving their long-awaited second-level diplomas, and appreciation to Sean Read for his infectious enthusiasm.
A special space was also dedicated to discussions on the future of Yantra Yoga and the structure of trainings and supervisions, with Naomi Zeitz and Alessandra Policreti joining the dialogue. Deep gratitude goes to Fabio and Laura, whose thirty years of tireless work have ensured the faithful transmission of this extraordinary practice, and to the Dzamling Gar Gakyil for organizing the event.
This training strengthened our sense of unity and inspired us to continue practicing and teaching with devotion, supporting both individual and collective growth. With heartfelt thanks to Namkhai Yeshi Rinpoche, may the blessings of Yantra Yoga continue to bring benefit to many.
With love and deep joy,
Fabiana Esca

A Journey Through Sound with Alexandr Vlasenko
After a memorable evening of resonance and calm on April 27th, sound healer Alexandr Vlasenko returned to Dzamling Gar for another immersive journey through vibration and stillness. On May 3rd, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, participants were invited to step into a space of deep relaxation, gentle presence, and harmonious sound.
Sound Healing is an ancient practice rooted in the understanding that every tone carries the potential to restore balance. Through the pure resonance of singing bowls, gongs, and subtle layers of voice, Alexandr creates a sonic landscape that invites the mind to quiet and the body to release. The experience unfolds like a meditation in motion — a meeting point between sound and silence, presence and surrender.
Set within the tranquil surroundings of Dzamling Gar, the evening offered more than a performance; it was a shared moment of stillness and connection. Each tone seemed to echo a reminder of our natural harmony, inviting us to listen not only with our ears, but with the heart.

YOGA KIDS SUMMER CAMP 2025: Yoga & Art – Our Garden
By Cristina Conticelli and Nataly Nitsche
From late June through August, Dzamling Gar once again came alive with laughter during the second Yoga Kids Camp, themed “Yoga & Art.” Twenty-one children aged 4–10 joined, including many newcomers, for a joyful blend of yoga, creativity, and nature.
Each morning began with playtime and Kumar Kumari Yoga classes, helping kids connect with their bodies, breath, and minds while strengthening focus and coordination. The camp was bilingual (Spanish and English), with Italian and Russian voices adding to the mix.
The gardens of Dzamling Gar became our outdoor classroom—counting flowers, playing games, and resting in the shade. Yoga and art intertwined naturally, each nurturing awareness, imagination, and joy. Inspired by the landscape, children created with local treasures—turning flamboyant fruits into maracas and black tulip pods into colorful boats.
Our creative home, the Casita Amarilla, was a cozy haven filled with materials for painting, building, and dreaming. There, the children cultivated their own inner garden—a place of calm, color, and connection.
This summer at Dzamling Gar was truly magical: a time of movement, art, and discovery where peace grew from every breath. We hope these seeds of presence and joy continue to bloom, in every child and in many future camps to come.

Yoga Day — A Heartfelt Gathering of Practices and Community
By Andrei Vasilev
On June 21, we came together to celebrate Yoga Day with a rich program of practices, inspiration, and human connection. Around 60 people joined us – 90% of which were new people — filling the space with warmth, curiosity, and openness.
The event opened with a welcoming introduction, followed by several sessions presenting different aspects of yoga.
Among them, Alessandra and I presented Yantra Yoga, an ancient Tibetan system that integrates movement, breath, and awareness. Due to time limitations, we shared just a few essential elements:
– the 9 Purification Breaths,
– the first and second exercises of Tsigjong,
– the first movement of Lungsang,
– the first movement of Tsandul,
– and we concluded with 7 deep breaths and relaxation in Nyalwap.
Throughout the session, Carlos kindly translated everything into Spanish, making the practice accessible to all.
After our presentation, we felt the atmosphere was filled with attention, interest, and warm engagement. The participants responded with heartfelt applause — a touching sign that the transmission was received openly and with gratitude.
The day continued with other yoga practices, sharings, a simple raffle, and a vegetarian lunch that gave everyone a chance to connect informally and enjoy the community spirit.
There’s always room to grow, but what stood out most was the shared intention and connection.
We look forward to co-creating an even more enriching Yoga Day in the future!

Yantra Yoga at the Adeje Summer University
by Nataly Nitsche
Maxim Leshchenko, a Level 3 Yantra Yoga instructor, took part in the Physical Activity, Health, and Well-being course at the Adeje Summer University, held July 21–23, 2025.
The Adeje Summer University, organized annually by the University of La Laguna (ULL) in southern Tenerife, is one of Spain’s leading summer programs. This year’s edition, UVA 2025, focused on multiculturalism and well-being as a shared human value.
The course featured leading health experts such as Boticaria García, Javier Butrageño, Mario Redondo, and Patry Jordán, who shared insights on physical activity and wellness. Maxim Leshchenko contributed a practical Yantra Yoga workshop, introducing participants to its holistic benefits.
The course was among the most popular at UVA 2025, reflecting growing interest in integrated approaches to health. The Atiyoga Foundation thanks the Adeje City Council, the University of La Laguna, and the Tenerife Island Council for their excellent organization and invitation.

Tara of Tenerife or Chaxiraxi is a goddess, known as the Sun Mother, in the religion of the aboriginal Guanche inhabitants of the Canary Islands. Chaxiraxi was one of the principal goddesses of the Guanche pantheon and was associated with the star Canopus.

Open Day Dzamling Gar September 20, 2025
The DzamlingGar Open Day was a resounding success, attracting over 100 attendees, all newcomers from outside the cultural association.
The event featured engaging sessions of Yantra Yoga led by Maxim Leschenko and Natalie Nitsche, as well as a highly appreciated Atimon Lan practice. Participants also enjoyed the Vajra Dance session of 12 A’s, which kept everyone engaged and even led to extended the time. The day concluded with a joyful lunch and more dancing, including salsa, fostering a spirit of fun and community.
This Open Day was a wonderful opportunity to welcome external visitors and showcase the association’s practices. Notably, the collaboration with an influencer from outside the community played a key role in drawing such a large crowd, suggesting that this format could definitely be repeated in the future.

Dzamlinggar Qi Gong Retreat, October 1-6
For the third year in a row, Tai Chi Ireland has brought students to train in the balmy climate of Adeje, under the Peruvian pepper trees and jacarandas of the Gar. They enjoyed themselves a lot, unwound, learned some better postural alignments and how to relax by breathing. No complaints were aired, accommodation and lunch were greeted with satisfaction. Urara once again delivered with her trademark professionalism and unflappable demeanour. I will be back to teach again, and hopefully my students will return too.

Holy Muddy Ceramic Workshop
Since August, the Holy Muddy Ceramic Workshop at Dzamling Gar –initiated by Gisela Martinez with the support of the Dzamling Gakyil and the warm welcome of the Community– has been offering ceramic sessions for beginners and anyone interested in working with clay, slips, glazes, and different firing techniques.
The workshop has already become a much-awaited Saturday gathering! A regular group of 9 participants meets weekly, with around 13 more joining occasional sessions each month. The atmosphere is lively, everyone focused on their own pieces at their own rhythm. From pots and kitchenware to sculptures, masks, slip-painting, and glazing, there’s always something new being created. “The kiln is on fire every week!”
Open to community members, families, and friends (kids and adults together), the workshop has become a special place to practice presence in a tangible way. Working with clay connects us with the earth, and after 3 hours of creating, even silence starts to settle in. People feel relaxed, and often want to stay longer. We’ve even stretched a few sessions out to 4 hours because no one wanted to leave!
A recent and beautiful surprise: we received a spontaneous offering from a local Canarian ceramist who wants to come and share her knowledge once in a while. This shows how the workshop is not only about creation, but also about connection, helping us bond with the island and its people, and root even more deeply in this beautiful place, not only for us but also for Dzamling Gar.
The Holy Muddy Workshop warmly welcomes anyone, with or without experience, to join us every Saturday from 16:00 to 19:00.
We hope this project inspires others to offer and share their skills with the community, and that the space will soon host other arts too, like painting, jewelry, and more.
